I’m in NYC right now shooting with Experiments in Opera for the world premiere of Everything For Dawn. I play Anya, an ambitious art curator, whose dedication to her career errs on the side of cutthroat. Filming has been a new and exciting process and I am so proud of the whole team! We just finished filming U-Hauling: A Micro Opera and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this awesome piece! Stay tuned for info on the January 2022 virtual premiere. A collaboration between Black Sheep Contemporary Ensemble, composer Marc Hoffeditz and librettist Aiden K. Feltkamp, this opera tells the story of two women who meet on a dating app and decide their first date will be their Las Vegas wedding. This piece is hilarious, heartfelt and clever. Also there is a gender-fluid Elvis… what more need be said?!

Last week I traveled to NYC for the first time in 18 months for rehearsals for the opera Everything For Dawn with Experiments In Opera. It was SO GREAT to be back in the city working on a world premiere :) I’ll be back in town throughout the fall for the Sitzprobe, audio recording and filming for this project. Free time update: This summer I started volunteering at the Merrimack Valley Cottontail Clinic. My duties include syringe feeding rabbit kits and giving snuggle therapy to buns in need of a cuddle. Rick Snyder and his team do an amazing job rescuing and rehabilitating eastern cottontail rabbits that have been orphaned or injured. If you’d like to donate, please visit their website HERE.
My first post-pandemic in-person project was my principal artist debut with Boston Lyric Opera! I got to spend four days recording Ana Sokolovic’s opera Svadba with 6 other women including conductor Daniela Candilari. The operatic soundtrack will be set to a filmed dance performance and is set for release in February 2022.
While our live performance of The Shepherd King with Little Opera Theatre New York was postponed, we did release a video of Amina and Elisa’s opening duet, “Go Now to Rule your Kingdom…” with mezzo soprano Catherine Spitzer.
I have donated one of my paintings to the Lubee Bat Conservancy in Gainsville, FL. They do amazing work rehabilitating various species of bats and educating people about these awesome critters!
